What each status means

You see the status on Orders and at the top of each order’s page. To list one status, click the status filter on Orders, which reads All orders until you choose one. There’s no filter for Locked orders.

The Orders list, with statuses in the Status column

Status What it means What to do
Tracked visit ThanksTo saw this visit. Nothing.
Shopify data ThanksTo didn’t see the visit, so it used the source Shopify recorded. Nothing. If you see this often, turn on the cart helper.
Discount code Credited to the creator whose discount code the shopper used. Nothing.
Survey Nothing else credits this order, so it goes to the source or creator the shopper named in the survey. Nothing.
Repeat customer Nothing else credits this order, so it goes to the creator of this customer’s last order that had a creator (placed within 30 days). Nothing. You can turn this off in Settings.
Direct ThanksTo saw no link, such as someone typing your address. There is no source or creator to thank. Nothing. These orders count in your sales.
Not tracked No link or source, usually because the shopper declined tracking. Open the order to read why. Some orders can’t be credited. Why this happens.
Unpaid Payment is pending. ThanksTo credits the order once it’s paid. Wait for the payment.
Cancelled Cancelled in Shopify, so it isn’t credited and doesn’t count as an order. Nothing.
Not counted POS (Point of Sale, for sales in person), draft and other sales channels aren’t credited and don’t count toward your plan. Nothing.
Locked Recorded, but over your plan’s monthly limit. Who to thank stays hidden until you move to a plan that covers it or the month ends. Click See plans, or wait for the month to end.
Refunded Refunded in full. The order can keep its credit, but no longer counts as an order. Nothing.
Partly refunded Part of the total went back. The order still counts, and Net sales shows what’s left. Nothing.

Refunded and Partly refunded show beside the status.

An order can say Tracked visit even when Shopify’s data or a discount code gave the credit. How it was credited on the order page says which.

  • “Still checking with Shopify.” ThanksTo keeps asking for up to two days after the order.
  • “Link code” and a code name. The code isn’t linked yet. Link it and the order is credited to that creator.

Orders with a credit, Direct orders, Not tracked orders and Locked orders are all in your sales totals. Unpaid, Cancelled and Not counted orders aren’t.
